Southside Atlanta Open

Time: 9:00am

Location: Creekside Christian Academy - 2455 Mt Carmel Rd, Hampton, GA 30228

This tournament is a USCF rated tournament hosted by Southside Atlanta Chess Club at Creekside Christian Academy. The tournament consists of four rounds of G/60;d5 (sixty minutes per side, five second delay). The schedule is: 

Round one: 9:00 

Round two: 11:15 

lunch

Round three: 2:00 

Round four: 4:15 

There are three rated sections: Open, U1600, and U1000. USCF ID is required to play in this tournament. If you have an account but have never participated in a tournament, you are considered "U1000." Registration starts at $25, goes up to $30 the month of, and goes to $40 on the week of. $50 onsite registration is accepted until 8:45am. Any registrations after this time will have to take a zero point bye for the first round. Half-point byes are available for each round upon request. Please bring boards and clocks. 

Prizes are as follows: 

Open: 1st - $100, 2nd - $50

U1600: 1st - $70, 2nd - $35

U1000: 1st - $50, 2nd - $25

(Or 1st - 40% and 2nd - 20% of registration per section, whichever is higher)

There will also be a trophy for the first place in every section.
